The Bothy Experience, located in the historic Angus village of Glamis, is a free-to-visit attraction and home to the award-winning Gin Bothy—ideal for both group itineraries and FIT programmes. Situated just minutes from Glamis Castle and within easy reach of Dundee and Perth, and only 90 minutes from Edinburgh, it offers a distinctive and authentic Scottish visitor experience.
Guests can explore engaging exhibition spaces that chart the journey from traditional homemade preserves to the creation of award-winning small-batch spirits and liqueurs. The visit is complemented by the Bothy Larder shop, showcasing the full range of Bothy spirits and liqueurs alongside carefully curated Scottish gifts.
For a more immersive visit, pre-bookable hosted tastings are available for groups of 2–56 guests across three atmospheric bothy rooms. Led by knowledgeable hosts, these experiences showcase a selection of Bothy spirits—including gin, liqueurs, whisky and rum— paired with a curated Bothy food board featuring our own Jam Bothy preserves, Bothy Butter and Bothy Oatcakes, creating a relaxed, sociable and genuinely local experience.
Suitable for both FIT and group travel, options range from small private visits to larger hosted tastings, with all bookings managed by dedicated travel trade coordinator.

We are an award-winning producer of handcrafted Scottish spirits rooted in the landscapes, heritage and stories of the north-east of Scotland. Our spirits are produced within the Angus area, drawing inspiration from the character of the region and its strong connection to land, people and place, including the wild surroundings of the Cairngorms National Park.
Set along a historic whisky smuggling route, the brand-new working distillery offers a whisky-led experience, including insight into the production of Glen Prosen Highland Single Malt, alongside tailored private and seasonal experiences. Ideal for FIT and small groups.
