Can I include a gift note in my order?
We are happy to add gift notes to your order as many people find a bottle from the Gin Bothy makes a perfect gift.
Simply add your personal message into the special instructions box on the 'Your cart' page prior to checkout, and don't forget to say who it's for and from!
How long does delivery take?
We carefully package your order and send it via a tracked courier service.
Delivery should take 1-3 working days for mainland UK and slightly longer for those in Highlands and Islands areas and Northern Ireland.
Delivery times can also be affected by public holidays.
Do I need to be home to take receipt of my order?
As most of our orders include alcohol an adult aged 18 or over must be at the shipping address to receive the parcel. The courier may request proof of age upon delivery.
Please note that the courier may not be able to leave your parcel in a safe place.
We therefore recommend keeping an eye on your order tracking and updating any delivery instructions if you expect to be away when delivery is due.
Tracking information will be sent directly by the courier via text message and/or email, allowing you to monitor your delivery and make any necessary changes.
If two delivery attempts are unsuccessful, the order will be returned to Gin Bothy. In these circumstances, an additional shipping charge may apply if you would like the order to be re-dispatched.
Do you ship internationally?
Unfortunately due to International shipping customs and duties, we cannot ship outside the UK.
How environmentally friendly are you?
As a rural producer the environment is very important to us and integral to how we produce and live. We strive to continually improve our impact and have ambitions to further improve our sustainability.
We employ local people to create our gin and we hand batch, hand label and hand number each bottle. Our fruit for our jams and liqueurs is sourced from our local farmers and comes from within 50 miles.
Our manual process is kind to the environment and we reuse our waste where possible, such as composting our fruit pulp. Our juice from our jam making is also added to our fruit gin liqueurs so zero waste from jam too!
What we do at the moment:
- Our distillery is powered by hydro which is located in our glen
- All our water we use at our distillery comes from a private water supply from the hill behind us in the glen.
- We use recyclable packaging for all our gift boxes and all our bottles are also recyclable.
- Our delivery vehicle is an eco van (we are working to get an electric charging point in the glen)
- We are transitioning to use paper tape instead of plastic tape on boxes.
- As part of our quest to improve we are working with Zero Waste Scotland to move towards our net zero goals and our Planet Mark certification.
